It’s been a fantastic adventure and we have learned an incredible amount through throwing ourselves in at the deep end and trying something new.
As we near our 2 year anniversary we have sold over a tonne of cheese, more than 4000 handmade sausage rolls, and nearly 1000 jars of chutney. We’ve met some of the finest food producers in the South West and eaten some of the most delicious things we’ve ever tasted. We’ve also survived 2 years eating almost entirely out of date food.
Although we had hoped to run the shop for a lot longer we are very proud of how much we’ve achieved in such a short space of time. We’ll be sad to let it go but we need to evolve to meet the challenges of contemporary retail.
We’ve been fortunate to meet so many lovely people along the way and we are deeply thankful to all our customers (many of whom have also become friends) for supporting us, as well as our suppliers and all the drivers who have delivered to our tiny shop come rain or shine.
